Innovation of automatic fish pond by rearing with biofloc system
This project aims to transfer knowledge and innovations in automatic fish ponds by rearing the biofloc system to farmers in Ban Yang Noi, Kosum Phisai District, Maha Sarakham Province. Biofloc technology is a technology that utilizes sludge generated in the farming system and turns ammonia waste in the aquaculture system into natural food for aquatic animals. The biofloc in water will bind ammonia and transform it into protein, which is beneficial to aquatic animals, improving water quality in the farming system, and also reducing waste water generation into water ecosystem which could be considered as a sustainable fishery approach.
