The Department of Agricultural Technology offers B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees in plant Technology, Animal Science, and Fisheries.

Plant Technology emphasizes in crop physiology and production, plant breeding and genetics, post harvest physiology, horticulture technology and seed technology. Well-equipped laboratories, greed houses, growth chambers, and field facilities are available to all students. Current areas of research include basic and applied research such as seed technology, organic agriculture, plant molecular technology, post harvest physiology, etc.

In the field of Animal Science, there are B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs emphasizing on animal nutrition, animal physiology, animal breeding, animal reproduction, meat production and the animal  production systems. The full function of research equipments and facilities are available for undergraduate and graduate students. Various types of domestic animal farms available for field practice and research project can be found in MSU’s farm.

Division of Fisheries offers courses in aquaculture, fishery biology, marine science, fishery management and fishery product. Most of the division’s facilities are located in the Khamriang Campus. The division also has the laboratories located in the original  campus. In addition, the division also has hatcheries and earthen ponds as the supporting facilities located in MSU’s farm at Nasrinuan sub-district, Kantarawicahi district, approximately twelve kilometers from the Khamriang Campus.
